Mc MoneyPants is a new town NPC that offers an "investing" mechanic where the player give him 15 in exchange for the Fortuned buff. He does not have any Happiness-related preferences. He can spawn if a player uses a Consolaria/Gilded InvitationGilded Invitation.

Once invited, he will have a random chance of appearing every morning between 6:00 and 6:45. He will then disappear if off-screen after 405 in-game minutes (real-time seconds) if a player has actually invested, or 810 in-game minutes otherwise, making him leave potentially as early as 12:45 and as late as 20:15. Like the Traveling Merchant and the Heartbeataria/Star MerchantHeartbeataria/Star Merchant, he does not need or use a house.

Shimmered form[ | ]

When submerged in Shimmer, the Mc MoneyPants will transform into his Shimmered form. This has no impact on gameplay or dialogue and is only a visual change. He can be returned to his classic look by submerging him in Shimmer again.

Trivia[ | ]

• The original version of Mc MoneyPants was unfinished and removed from the game before it was fully implemented. It is not known what its purpose would have been, but it was probably related to the Chinese New Year seasonal event. Also, Below the quote used to be a GUI with a help button, similar to the Guide's, but pressing this help button sometimes crashed the game.
• Scrooge is a reference to Ebenezer Scrooge from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
• Bill is a reference to Bill Gates.
• The Bestiary entry for the Mc MoneyPants: "Flamboyant and charismatic, Mc MoneyPants is a fine baron willing to make anyone's life easier... For a price!"
