they do the very thing they claim they stopi signed up with rocket money and could only afford $4 a month for their service. They proceeded to charge me for a whole year of $48 lump sum, i tried to reach out for a refund with no success. They claim they stop recurring subscriptions but just end up being a recurring subscription, oh and they asl for your bank details and card details. couldn't even reach a person for support just a bot. if i could rate 0 stars i would.

Not cancelling subscriptionI love this app. It’s been really great for giving me a quick overview of what recurring bills I have coming up and provides insight into my spending. The deduction of a star is because I got this app to specifically help me cancel subscriptions. I’ve been using it for three months now, I’ve authorized it to cancel my audible subscription twice and I’m getting ready to be charged for it a third month. I don’t understand when this is their claim to fame, why they can’t get this cancelled. I will go do it myself now but shouldn’t have to.

Not risking it.Heard about this app on TV and on social medias. Downloaded it, and then got a bad feeling about it especially when it was so pushy to receive my bank info. I deleted the app and you can literally go into settings on your phone if you have a iPhone and manage subscriptions.

They continue to charge you even after you cancel your rocket money subscriptioni have cancelled my subscription three months in a row. and i’m still getting charged. they only let you speak to an ai, it takes more than 24 hours to talk to a human. i’m out almost $20 because of them

Account balanceOn the home page, if you have multiple accounts it just adds up the total, didn’t realize that. I just paid $300 in overdraft fees. Never using this app again.

Tries to help you cancel subscription but it is a subscription based appThis made me mad

Not as advertisedThis app is great for tracking your spending. However, it has not canceled one subscription yet. It processes for up to two weeks then tells me I have to go to the site and do it myself anyway. It did lower one bill as long as I paid RM the difference and even then, the bill was not lowered to what RM told me it would be so they basically took a big chunk of money from me for no reason. I stopped paying anything for this app after that. They took enough from me already.

TOO GOODThis is the most life saving app ever. I sound like a bot for this but this genuinely saved my life😭 I saw a subscription I didn’t recognize on my bank app and I had heard about this app before so I downloaded it and found 3 subscriptions I didn’t know I had. So much more money would’ve been wasted had I not downloaded this and taken care of it. Thank you so much. 🫶🫶

Run, Do Not Use ThemAfter reading all of the reviews, I was very excited to use Rocket Money. It was initially great, until the scammed me. They offer to “lower” your monthly bills via negotiation. They call your vendors/accounts pretending to be an angry you demanding a discount on your service. For one of my services (internet) they downgraded my service for this discount. I work remotely and this was a major problem for me. My internet cost is now more expensive because my old plan was no longer offered. They also charge you a premium on this new “negotiated” rate. I signed it before I realized they changed my service. So, now I am out 300.00 and am paying more for my internet. I have reached out to customer service and they just keep telling me I am wrong. They negotiated a lower rate. I do not appreciate being called a liar. I have confirmed with Spectrum, they changed my service. As you can tell, I am upset and do not recommend them.

Fraudulent chargesI gave this app information to lower down my phone bill. I got a call from my phone company that there is a call overseas trying to add devices onto my account and when they asked to speak to me, they said that I was not there and neither was my device, this company will take your information or it will leak and people will try to do fraudulent charges on your accounts

Unfortunately UselessIt recognizes my direct deposit income as ‘Ignored’. In order to ‘create rule’ to auto sort and fix that issue you have to fork it over. You think I have that kind of cash lying around for the subscription? Why do you think I got the app? In all seriousness though it would be cool if the devs looked at this issue. If so I’ll definitely use it.

So Helpful!! Literal Life Saver!I’ve had rocket money now I would say for about a year and I 100% vouch for this company. Honestly, I could go on and on about how awesome this app is. I was needing another way other than Microsoft Excel to properly budget my money, organize all of my bills, and have a game plan for saving my money. As a new adult in their 20’s, the act of budgeting is kind of overwhelming when you have to consider your income (or lack thereof) and what you can buy with that income. The Good Stuff: 1. Rocket Money has made the process of budgeting WAY simpler and does all of the math and calculations based on your individual budgeting goals. It also has so many other cool features that is just an added perk: like alerting you of your recurring bills, curating data of your spending habits, calculating your net worth, and credit score. Additionally, what I really appreciate is the added graphs and statistical data showing the weekly, monthly, and yearly trends of what you spend. Me personally, I impulse buy a LOT and that has been my biggest issue thus far trying to control my impulsive urges. When Rocket Money showed me that I spent $300 OVER my monthly income, it really put things in perspective for me. It also tells you how much you can spend daily before you hit your spending limit - which helps me put into perspective what I can spend daily. 2. This app is VERY user friendly and although it takes a little exploring in order to grasp how to set up ‘Rules’ for specific transactions, this ultimately helps in the long run to keep all of your transactions organized. 3. Customer Service is top tier! All the times I reached out to customer service for glitches within the app, I was met promptly with a real employee who was dedicated to solving the issue, and exceeded my expectations. It is always refreshing to see a company with customer service that isn’t AI or automated response systems. Even better, they are good at what they do and always fix the issues! Potential Con’s: 1. Monthly Subscription Required. I initially thought this was a con at first, because I didn’t want to spend upwards of $15/mo especially if it’s not anything special. However, I was very impressed that they allowed ME the option to choose my price per month, to accommodate my spending needs. I found this to be very telling to the companies overall values, showing me that they are not here to just take my money and that they genuinely care about meeting the customer where they are at. I am currently paying the lowest price monthly which is $6/mo (anything less than $6 you have to pay the yearly subscription). With this price, it is highly affordable and with the phenomenal experience you get with Rocket Money, that is a steal! 2. May Not Be Completely Effective for Impulse Buyers. I say this as an impulse buyer myself, this app isn’t going to completely solve your issues if you struggle to be disciplined with putting the wallet away - or have shopping addictions. I realize now that Rocket Money was built to give the customer a step-by-step instruction book on budgeting and money saving. However, it is up to the consumer to maintain discipline and keep on track. Rocket Money will alert you if you are close to reaching your budget, but in my experience, in my times of impulsivity I just ignore it and make excuses for purchasing unnecessary items. This is important to note for people like me ‼️‼️RM does help with budgeting and being a smarter shopper, but it can’t solve everything. 3. Super Savings Account Needs Work. This is my one REAL complaint that I feel could be worked on to make more efficient. For a couple months, I tried out their super savings account option. This account is supposed to double your monthly savings by taking out $ directly from your checking every 2 weeks. This amount is based upon how much money is in the account. So, if you set it up to take out 10%, 20% etc from your checking, it will do so. I had to stop it after a while because when i started to have more income, the account took out $50-$60 every two weeks which I needed for budgeting purposes. I can handle $10-15 being taken out every 2 weeks or so, but anything more is too much. There isn’t a way of letting the app know about this, other than decreasing the percentage to take out. I had to request to cancel the transfer from my checking which took over two weeks for Rocket Money to process. In the end, I paused the savings account because it was too tedious to manage. Conclusion: All in all, I am more than impressed with this company and all they have to offer. You WILL get your money’s worth if you stick with Rocket Money. Who do I recommend this for? I recommend this for anybody who needs assistance/guidance with monthly budgeting and keeping track of spending. If you’re overwhelmed with tracking numbers, estimating monthly costs of groceries, gas, bills, etc, you will find a lot of ease with RM. That said, this app is more useful to people who have consistent income and consistent spending trends. If you have inconsistent income or struggle to stay consistent with spending then you may find it harder to discover what your ‘average’ monthly budget should be. I recommend this app for anybody who is interested in SAVING money and reframing their spending habits. Although I struggle occasionally, I have saved more money this year than I ever have. I’ve become more frugal and intentional with the things I spend, and RM has definitely been the reason for that. All in all, this app is meant for everybody! Wether you’re a new adult who just started paying bills and joining the workforce, or your a seasoned adult veteran who just needs an easier way to organize bills and payments, Rocket Money has something for everyone! Their company has shown they care about their customer’s experience, as well as their wallet!

Great App but needs widget featureThis app is awesome and has it all, but would be great to add a widget feature that lets you see you spending vs your budget overtime in comparison for your budget. I’ve seen other budget apps (copilot) have this.

One of my credit cards won’t connect to rocket money..The app works fine for the most part. I do recommend the app for people wanting to budget and learn where there money is going. But there are some bugs but specificity I cannot connect my bp credit card and it seems to be a rocket money issue.
