Is the Corvette plant Tour worth it? ›

The experience was extremely satisfying and I would strongly urge anyone purchasing a Corvette to purchase this package, as it is a moment that you will never forget. Our host was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the museum and plant and the tours were amazing.

Most visitors complete the self-guided tour of the museum in an hour or so, and guided tours are available 7 days a week at 11am, and 1pm central time. If you're really serious about learning the history of Corvette, download the free audio tour online or via the Museum app.

O-I Glass broke ground for the state-of-the-art glass plant in April 2023. The project is expected to involve an investment of $240m in phases. It will serve the consumer beverages market, mainly the premium spirits category. The first production line is targeted to commence production in mid-2024.

In what sounds like a scene from a disaster movie, a sinkhole opened below the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Feb. 12, 2014. The museum was closed when part of the floor collapsed. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the incident damaged eight historically significant Chevrolet Corvettes.

Provided there are no hiccups in the process, it takes two days to build one new Corvette from start to finish. At capacity, the Bowling Green line churns out 200 cars each day. In addition to showing aspects of assembly, the video also includes interviews with many plant leaders in various roles.

Great history and progression of the car complete with a short video in the theatre. The sinkhole display is sweet with all 8 cars on their own display. Gift shop was nice and the price of admission is well worth it.

Book your admission ahead of time to skip the line at the ticket office. Allow one to two hours to visit the museum—more if you're a classic-car buff.
